LEED Guidelines for Subcontractors

How to comply with your GCs LEED requirements

This program is not scheduled at this time  but we can bring it to you

One 4-hour session

Projects seeking USGBC LEED Certification enlist the assistance of the entire design and contracting communities to ensure best possible outcomes.  General Contractors face the daunting task of managing their Subcontractors and self performing crews though the process.  Subcontractors are responsible for critical procurement activity, construction practices, and documentation efforts that enable the project to be certified at the correct level.

Sometimes knowing why is just as important as knowing what.  This half-day workshop will guide participants through the various LEED systems and help participants understand at a more meaningful level why their efforts are so essential and how they should go about fulfilling their contractual obligations.

Learning Objectives / Outcomes

Upon completion participants will:

    • have a working understanding of what LEED certification really is
    • know that one doesn’t have to “bleed green” to embrace the process
    • understand the involvement of various parties throughout the certification process
    • be equipped to engage with General Contractors more effectively in compliance efforts
