Early Design Build Requirements

Early Design-Build Contract Processes for NAVFAC Projects

Learn what the Navy requires on design-build projects
Presented in collaboration with NAVFAC Southwest

NAVFAC Southwest wants Design Build entities to know how to properly engage in early project efforts as required and described in their contracts with NAVFAC.  To this end, NAVFAC has collaborated with the AGC San Diego Chapter in the development and production of this seminar to help ensure that Design-Build teams will have a clear understanding of their early contract requirements for design-build construction projects.

April 10 San Diego

Early efforts required to fulfill the contract include:

    • CDW – Concept Design Workshop
    • PAK – Post Award Kickoff Meeting
    • Fast Tracking options
    • Partnering

Now everyone can know what is really expected of them.  This 7-hour seminar will address these important events and processes from the NAVFAC perspective and will serve to lay out guidelines and a solid foundation for a successful project launch.  A combination of NAVFAC prepared materials and those developed collaboratively and specifically for this seminar will be utilized, allowing it to be presented with authority and ensuring that participants receive maximum benefit from attending.

For each process, participants will learn:

    • Requirements
    • Specific Processes
    • Timelines
    • Roles and responsibilities of appropriate participants in the processes
    • Expectations

This seminar will be beneficial to every member of the A/E or Contractor’s Design-Build team
